SMART Goals
SMART Goals are a framework for setting clear and attainable goals. The acronym SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. This method helps ensure that goals are well-defined and reachable within a specific timeframe. Within OKRs, Key Results should always be structured as SMART goals.
Key Components of SMART Goals:
- Specific: The goal should be clear and specific, answering the questions of what, why, and how.
- Measurable: There should be clear criteria for measuring progress and success.
- Achievable: The goal should be realistic and attainable, considering available resources and constraints.
- Relevant: The goal should matter to the organization and align with broader objectives.
- Time-bound: The goal should have a defined timeframe or deadline.
