What you'll receive

This grant aims to help you listen to your community and team. You will align your team on what matters most. You will adopt a structured plan to improve your execution. To do this, we will leverage our innovative AI surveys to interview your stakeholders and summarize themes and insights. You'll work with our support to align your leadership team and board to agree on goals to support the top priorities. Then, use our Objectives & Key Results (OKR) software to keep everyone focused on outcomes and impact. Awardees of this grant will receive:

  • 1-year paid subscription to the stratsimple.com software. The subscription supports up to 50 users. It includes up to five strategic planning surveys. Surveys include AI coaching and AI summarization. ($4,800 value)
  • Our Best Practice templates and non-profit strategic planning playbook. Up to 10 hours of free consulting. Use it for setting up surveys, strategy coaching, and OKR platform training. ($2,000 value)

Eligibility Requirements

Organizations must apply to be eligible. We review each application carefully and consider our capacity and the specific needs of the applicants. You must meet all minimum requirements to be eligible for our strategic planning grant. Meeting these requirements doesn't guarantee acceptance:

  • Your organization must be registered as a 501(c)3 non-profit or educational institution (i.e. public school)
  • Be willing to sign an agreement outlining the scope, duration, and responsibilities of the engagement
  • Ensure ED/CEO and leadership team can commit to participating in a collaborative effort over a 2-3 month period
  • Allow us to publicize your name and organization in various marketing channels
  • Be open to virtual interactions, this program does not include travel or on-location services
  • If we do a good job, be a reference for us, our work, and your outcomes using our system

Program Participant Selection

We will offer an introductory screening call to top candidates once we receive applications. From there, we evaluate applicants with both qualitative and quantitative perspectives. We compare each applicant to others in the pool and we do not publish the specific criteria. We keep all evaluations confidential and do not share them outside of our review team. Organizational attributes of particular interest for us include:

  • Paid leadership team in place with an engaged and active board
  • A track record of organizational success
  • Clear and significant potential to create positive change within their communities
  • Openness to adoption of innovative approaches to solving problems and achieving their goals
  • Organization is large enough to support the work - generally we're looking for 5 or more team members
